From June 3 to June 6, Ljubljana will host the MIDPOINT Intensive Slovenia program, a focused script and project development workshop tailored for promising film projects from the region.

Filmmakers and projects selected to MIDPOINT Intensive Slovenia!
This event is organized thanks to MIDPOINT partnership with the Association of audiovisual producers of Slovenia and will feature Pavel Marek as the script consultant and Marija Razgute as the producer tutor, both bringing extensive expertise and guidance to the selected participants.
The program aims to provide in-depth support and feedback to enhance four selected film projects' creative and production aspects.

During the program, participants will engage in comprehensive script consultations and production discussions, aimed at refining their narratives and optimizing their projects for successful production and market potential.

"EXPERIENCE WITH ANIMATION FROM PAT AND MAT TO JAN ŠVANKMAJER"
Who are Pat and Mat and what is the goal of their endeavors? What
does working on a screenplay consist of? And how does Jan
Švankmajer work with animation? This lecture is devoted to the
animated film, its means of expression, the structure of the narrative
and the principles of dark humor.

"CASE STUDY: SLOW"
Lithuanian producer Marija Razgutė will present a case study of
SLOW a sophomore feature film by Marija Kavtaradze which
premiered at World Dramatic Competition in Sundance FF in 2023
and won Best Director award there SLOW was produced between
Lithuania, Spain and Sweden, the film became a festival darling in
2023 2024 and it was sold to numerous territories worldwide
SLOW got to the EFA Feature film selection in 2023 as well as
became a Lithuanian contender for Oscars.
