Deja Škerjanc is a Slovenian independent producer with a Master's degree in Cultural Studies. Since 2017, she has been working with ZVVIKS, one of Slovenian leading production companies for stop-motion animation as an associate producer. With ZVVIKS she has made a series of award-winning short animated films such as Liliana (2019), as well as the internationally recognized children's animated series KOYAA (2017–2019). She is a member of the Slovenian Animated Film Association. As a producer and head of development, she works with the genre-specialized production 666 Productions. The short fiction film The Moon of The Kurent: The Ritual (2022), created as part of the development for the feature film The Moon of the Kurent, has been selected for the competitive programs of over 40 international festivals and has received six awards. In 2024, the short film The Hour of Death will be released, and the series METOD, supported by the Slovenian Film Centre is in preproduction.
