Alex Moran
Alex is a versatile screenwriter from Liverpool with a passion to satirise and interrogate the impact of human apathy on our society through the genres of dark comedy, horror, and drama. He earned screenwriting accolades for his horror short, Rhyme or Die, selected for Screamfest, Short of the Week Staff Pick 2023, and Winner of Best Short Screenplay at Manchester Film Festival 2023. Rhyme or Die has surpassed 500,000 views online in five months since its launch on horror platform, Alter, sparking multiple reaction videos and positive reviews online: “I haven’t stopped thinking of it since” (Killer Shorts) “meticulously written” (Directors’ Notes) “I was grinning the entire time” (Cinema Crazed). Alex is also experienced in TV adaptation, having adapted a Sunday Times bestselling novel for ABC Production SA in Greece in 2023. He is currently developing the Outsider with director Dimitris Tzetzas alongside developing a feature horror with BAFTA-nominated production company RASP Films, and a feature-length
version of Rhyme or Die with director Max r Lincoln.
