Margarita Amineva-Jester is the founder of Voices Films, a Berlin-based film production company she has been running since 2022. Specialising in director-driven fiction and documentary projects, Margarita has a background in philology, TV journalism, and film studies. She attended the German Film & TV Academy Berlin (DFFB) from 2012 to 2019, including an exchange at Columbia University and an internship at Autlook Filmsales in Vienna. Margarita is an alumna of the Zurich Film Festival Talent Program, Up-and-coming Producers at the Brussels International Film Festival, Cutting Edge, and East-West Talent Labs. Her filmography includes seven short films, among them the award-winning LAND OF GLORY (German Short Film Award, Hungarian Film Critics’ Award) and I WANT TO RETURN RETURN RETURN (Cannes Films Festival Award, German Film Critics’ Award). NOT MY CIRCUS marks Margarita’s debut as a producer for a series.
