Nika Jurman (1991) is a screenwriter and director with a background in philosophy, literature, and film criticism. Her animated short Borbike (2022) won Best Animation at the Slovenian Film Festival and Best Independent Film at the Slovenian Independent Film Festival. She recently completed the short film Little House and is developing an animated series. Her debut feature, Ida Who Sang So Badly Even the Dead Rose Up and Joined Her in Song (co-written and directed by Ester Ivakič), premieres this year.
