He studied screenwriting for radio and TV and dramaturgy at JAMU in Brno, and then filmmaking under Vera Chytilova at the Prague FAMU. During his studies, he produced several short films, the most significant of them being the bachelor film Saharske pisky (2009) and graduation film Maly okruh pozornosti (2011). The latter became the finalist for Magnesia Award for the best student film at the annual award ceremony of the Czech Film and Television Academy in 2011. In the same year, he participated as a filmmaker on the short story project by Czech Television called Capkovy kapsy. Two years later, he received an award in a competition by Film Foundation for his screenplay Sampanske s modrou stuhou. In the area of full-lengh feature films, his film debut was Absence blizkosti which was screened in the competition section at the International Film Festival Karlovy Vary in 2017. In the present time, he is working as a multimedia director for Czech Radio.
