Grigore Becket comes from a family of actors and despite his family’s insistence, he studied acting at UNATC in Bucharest. He returned to Moldova where he was part of the team that developed the online positive news portal www.stiripozitive.eu. In three years he produced, shot and edited over 75 video materials. At the same time he continued acting on stage in theatres in Chisinau. In 2017 Grigore got his MFA degree in Film at Columbia University, where he directed 4 short films, wrote a two feature screenplay. He is currently developing his debut feature.
