Diana Caravia is a young producer working at microFILM, Romania. She is involved in the development, financing & production of shorts, features, and documentaries by acclaimed Romanian directors such as Alexandru Solomon and Ivana Mladenović & emerging directors such as Xandra Popescu, Paula Oneț and Ștefan Bîtu-Tudoran.
She has participated in the production of several films, including the 2021 Berlinale Golden Bear winner – BAD LUCK BANGING OR LOONY PORN by Radu Jude. She is the producer of the feature documentary ARSENIE. AN AMAZING AFTERLIFE by Alexandru Solomon (Karlovy Vary 2023), as well as the executive producer of the feature DO NOT EXPECT TOO MUCH FROM THE END OF THE WORLD by Radu Jude (Locarno 2023) & the short films ON THE IMPOSSIBILITY OF A HOMEAGE by Xandra Popescu (Locarno 2024), SEMIOTIC PLASTIC (Venice IFF 2021), MEMORIES FROM THE EASTERN FRONT (Berlinale Forum 2022) & THE POTEMKINISTS (Quinzaine des Réalisateurs 2022). She is a graduate of MIDPOINT TV Launch, LIM Development Angels programme, CineLink Producers Lab, WEMW Genre Rules Inspirational Lab, and is currently enrolled in an MBA in Film Business and Law at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF.
