I was born in the Polish City of Gdansk on June 30th 1987. My parents escaped Communist Poland 10 months later, going to West-Berlin. I had my first year away from Germany during a student exchange program from 2003 to 2004 in the United States, Minnesota. I went through a 3-week-internship (on voluntary basis) in a psychiatric institution for the Elderly (in Berlin). Then I spent a voluntary year in the Jewish Community, where I was working either with one person at a time or in the Home and Caring Center for the Elderly (“Hagibor” in Praha, CZ). During the time as a volunteer I was an official member of the Prague Jewish Community. I came back to Berlin in late 2008. Since 2009 I study Film Directing at the German Film & Television Academy Berlin (dffb). My mother tongues are Polish & German, as well as fluency in English & Czech.
