I was born in Russia but moved to Slovakia at the age of 9. I was never an academic type, and after a brief spell of studying at a college in the UK, a combination of circumstances has thrust me into a whirlwind of full-time jobs. I have committed to learning the skills I wanted to acquire on my own. I have taught myself screenwriting when I moved to France for something of a sabbatical, from which I never really returned back to my old marketing jobs. After 4 years of being the cliché of a bohemian, I moved back to Slovakia to finally "graduate" into a more serious approach. I got a job at a small production company and went on to make commercials for a living. During that time, the producer of that company has also commissioned me to adapt a book into a screenplay, which we went on to produce. What comes next is utterly uncertain, but I am hoping to move into pre-production of another feature sometime during the next year.
