This program targets teams of writers, directors, and producers with their short-film projects (professional or graduation) in development.
MIDPOINT Shorts offer:
✺ Creative development
✺ Structural dramaturgy
✺ Distribution and festival strategies
✺ Presentation skills and promotion
✺MULTI-STAGE SELECTION PROCESS:
1. Stage: Online Feedback Session
20 shortlisted projects will receive an online assessment from script consultant and producer tutor.
2. Stage: Online Ideas Incubator
8 projects get into ideas incubator: a 3-day online workshop focused on further script and project development.
After this incubator, the final 4-5 projects will be selected to the main Shorts program consisting of two residential workshops and the project showcase during When East Meets West!

✺ Workshop 1 / October 16 – 22, 2023 (5 working days) Brno, Czech Republic / in collaboration with ISFF BRNO16
✺ Workshop 2 / January 2024 (5 working days) Trieste, Italy / in collaboration with When East Meets West and Trieste Film Festival
Fee:
20 EUR – Online Feedback Session / per project
150 EUR – Online Ideas Incubator / per project
