Sibel Altinbas was born in 1977 into a family of guest workers of Turkish origin in Enschede, the Netherlands. During her studies in Utrecht she discovered bilingual theater. After stage experience, she decided to develop her creativity in writing and making films. Currently she is working on developing a TV drama series and writing several feature films. Her style is characterized by raw urban with a touch of magic realism.
