Kollar is one of the most established producer/directors in Slovakia, producing high quality productions that meet with international acclaim such as The House by Z. Liova , Honeymoon by J. Hrebejk, Home Care by S. Horak, etc.
Kollar is an EAVE, ACE and “Producer on the move 2011” alumni for Slovakia.
His directorial debut “THE RED CAPTAIN” starring one of the most esteemed Polish actors Maciej Stuhr internationally premiered in competition at 2016 Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. In 2016 the film broke the best Slovak-feature opening weekend record in Slovakia over the past 17 years and so far it was theatrically distributed in Czechia and Poland.
As the director-writer Michal has been heavily involved in the development of the submitted project VILLA LUCIA.
