Marek was born in Trnava, Slovakia (30). He studied cinematography at the Film Shool Zlín and at the Academy of Performing Arts and Music in Bratislava. He has been working in television for 10 years (9 years for TV JOJ – Slovak commercial television). As a director of photography started to get closer to directing. Since 2014 he has been directing short films. In 2016 he co-founded the film production company, where he works as a film director and producer. Films that he has worked on have earned a lot of prizes in Slovakia and abroad.
