Born in 1982, Kaveh Daneshmand is an Iranian filmmaker based in Czech Republic.
A graduate of directing, Kaveh founded the Festival of Iranian Films in Prague in 2010. Ever since, he has been active as the artistic director of the festival as well as a director and a writer. His latest short film, Occasional Showers won the best short in 2016 Film Critics Award in Iran. Kaveh also works as an executive producer for Europe Media Nest; a production company with the objective of becoming the common platform and the link between Czech and Iranian cinemas.
