Iulia Weiss graduated from the National University of Theater and Film Arts in 2008 where she studied Performing Arts. After graduation she was active as a dancer and choreographer both in local contemporary dance companies and independently.
She worked as a choreographer for the feature film "LUPU" (2013) and for the experimental 3D film "My life rehearsed in one leg", both directed by Bogdan Mustață.
Since 2017, she has been working in the production team at Axel Film and was executive producer for the feature film "IMACULAT" (directed by Monica Stan and George Chiper), winner of the "Lion of the Future for Best Debut" prize at the Venice Film Festival in 2021 and for the feature film "CAPTURA" by Adi Voicu, which will have the premiere in Sofia Film Festival 2024.
She is producer for the documentaries: LEO RECORDS: STRICTLY FOR OUR FRIENDS by Ioana Grigore that is going to be released in 2024 and MAGNIFICENT SKY by Alexandru Badea winner of a Special Jury Mention in Doclisboa 2023.
