Drishya Gautham
Drishya is a Tamil writer, director and creative producer who splits her time between sunny Goa and edgy Berlin. She is a 2024 graduate of Serial Eyes, Europe’s premier series writing program.
Drishya has worked as a Development Executive with leading international streamer Amazon Prime Video, instrumental in commissioning the first slate of series and films in all 4 South Indian languages. She is a part of the core team of Stray Factory, an award-winning independent content studio. She is the co-writer of a Tamil-French historical feature, produced by Mathivanan Rajendran that was selected for EAVE 2020.
Her past credits include co-creator of comedy series 'Meme Boys' on SonyLiv India, and writer-director of short film ‘B. Selvi & Daughters’, which was screened at several international film festivals and nominated for three Indian Critics’ Choice Awards.
Her debut feature film is in development and will be directed by acclaimed Indian actress and feminist advocate Parvathy Thiruvothu.
Drishya is passionate about using humour and genre to explore social and cultural themes, often surrounding marginalization and weirdness.
