Dimitris Tzetzas
Dimitris is a film director and editor from Athens, Greece. He studied filmmaking in San Francisco between 2003 and 2007, directing shorts and dissecting the mysteries of the local experimental filmmaking scene whose celluloid culture and unorthodox artistic methods left an imprint on him. After graduation he moved to Los Angeles where he worked in post-production at Jerry Bruckheimer Films. He has worked and learned under many Academy-Award winning and nominated film editors such as Michael Kahn, Mark Goldblatt, David Brenner, Bud Smith and William Goldenberg. Since 2012 he has directed music and advertising videos in Greece and has edited documentaries, television series and feature film trailers. In 2015 his directorial feature debut The Republic premiered at the Athens International Film Festival. The movie addressed with an unapologetic, saturated and humorous tone many of the pathogenies of 21st century Greek society. Dimitris is currently working on new scripts, including the Outsider with screenwriter Alex Moran, while also directing documentaries, music and corporate videos.
