David Gašo (Osijek, 2000) has directed several awarded short films as a student at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb, most notably the film Short Cut Grass which had its premiere at the 69th Oberhausen Short Film Festival. It was later awarded a special jury mention at the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival as well as several critics and audience awards locally. Besides filmmaking efforts, David has several director credits working on TV commercials and music videos, while also working as part of several educational film programmes in Croatia. He is of the organizers and selectors of Filmska RUNDA, a short film festival in Osijek. He is a member of the Film Director’s Association of Croatia.
