Turquoise Mountain
Dina (44) lives the classic life of a woman in Czechoslovakia in the 1980s. As a university professor of mathematics, she has a husband, a son and a dachshund. But she also has an unusual hobby - mountain climbing, which is not exactly supported by the local mountaineering committee. On an unsuccessful expedition in the Himalayas, she meets Vera (42), an eccentric Czech emigrant who could not be more unlike Dina. She proposes to her to climb the Turquoise Mountain in the Himalayas, which would make them the first women to do so. Their preparations are complicated given a lack of equipment, but they don't give up. After many complications, they reach the summit, which is however covered in fog. Their success goes unrecognised, which only confirms the importance of their journey.
