Set in 2001, 15-year-old Ann discovers her mother’s teenage diary, uncovering family secrets that drive her to run away to a friend’s abandoned cottage in a forgotten Estonian seaside town. Joined by her friends from the city and an ever-growing group of teens from the nearby village, the house becomes a hub of rebellion, chaos, and fractured friendships. Amid the noise, Ann meets Kärt (16)—a mysterious, snarky outsider who appears to Ann only in her quietest moments. As Kärt reveals her struggles, including an unexpected pregnancy, the line between reality and imagination begins to blur. Ann slowly realizes that Kärt is a manifestation of her mother’s younger self. Set against the haunting beauty of Estonia’s forests and coastline, this coming-of-age series blends magical realism and raw emotional honesty to explore freedom, identity, and the fragile bonds between past and present.
