Karim Aitouna
Graduated in Law, in film studies and in cultural management, Karim Aïtouna is a film producer working between France and Morocco with Haut Les Mains productions in Lyon and Waq Waq Studio in Tangier. In 2013, he was selected as Emerging Producer at the Jihlava DIFF.
He produced among others productions : Anna Roussillon’s award-winning “I Am The People (Cannes 2014)“, David Yon’s “The Night And The Kid (Berlinale 2015)“, Rä Di Martino “Contro Figura (Venice 2017)”, “Poisonous Rose (Rotterdam 2018)” by Ahmed Fawzi Saleh, awarded more than 16 international awards and Egypt Oscar nominated for 2020, “Dans La Maison (IDFA 2020)” by Karima Saidi, “Gevar’s Land (IDFA 2020)” by Qutaiba Barhamji, and lately “Europe (Berlinale 2022)” by Philip Scheffner and “Where The Wind Comes From (Sundance 2025)” by Amel Guellaty.
Karim Aitouna is a member of EAVE and EURODOC. He works as lecturer, juror and consultant for many funds, Labs and festivals.
