David Kavanagh is the Executive Officer of The Federation of Screenwriters in Europe (FSE), which brings together 31 screenwriters guilds and unions from 25 countries representing more than 8000 screenwriters.
David worked as CEO of the Writers Guild of Ireland, Film Officer of the Arts Council of Ireland, Chief Executive of the Irish Film Institute and General Secretary of the European Script Fund. He was a Board Member of the Light House Cinema Exhibition and Distribution Company. He is a member of the Irish Film and Television Academy and the European Film Academy. He is Company Secretary of Writers Services Clg, a new CMO for screenwriters in Ireland. He is especially proud of his ZeBBie award for services to writers in Ireland and his Silver Pen from the Netwerk Scenarioschrivers in the Netherlands.
