MIDPOINT Institute lecture & alumni at Film Industry Office of OIFF
We are thrilled do invite the holders of Film Industry Office accreditation for a special Marike Muselaers lecture called “TV Series Financing Models. How to find the right partners in this fast-paced, ever changing TV market?”
Marike Muselaers is our TV Launch financing tutor and CO-CEO of Lumiere Group, Benelux. The lecture takes place online on dedicated platform of the event on September 30 at 12 PM CET.
We would also like to bring to your attention MIDPOINT graduate projects to be presented at OIFF as well as MIDPOINT alumni who will be presenting their projects:
Director and writer Daria Onyshchenko and producer Аnna Palenchuk will attend the Pitching with their project Malevych, whose series adaptation is being developed within the current edition of TV Launch. Daria Onyshchenko will also pitch her project The Hydra within EastSeries.
Within Work in Progress, director Christina Tynkevych and producer Olga Matat will present their feature film How is Katia?, developed at the Feature Launch program in 2019.
Producer Natalia Libet, our Cold Open alumna, will pitch her two projects: Us, 15, directed by Anna Buryachkova (to be presented within the Pitching session) and Stop-Zemlia, directed by Kateryna Gornostai (to be presented within Work in Progress).
MIDPOINT Intensive SK 2018 alumna Wanda Adamik Hrycova will introduce the project The Twins, directed by Eva Neymann (to be presented within the Pitching session).
The rich program of the Film Industry Office also features panel discussions and masterclasses on various topics – and there are some MIDPOINT-connected names among the speakers as well:
Vladimir Yatsenko (Feature Launch 2018 & Intensive @KVIFF 2017 alumnus) will act as one of the three speakers attending the discussion Ukraine joins Eurimages in the middle of unprecedented industry disruption.
You also shouldn’t miss our MIDPOINT Feature Launch & Editing Room alumna Antoneta Kastrati and Marysia Nikitiuk (MIDPOINT Feature Launch 2018) discussing with 4 other industry professionals the Gender stereotypes in storytelling – cultural and historical pressure.
Lenka Tyrpakova, one of our Scouts and Vassilis Economou, participant recently selected for the current edition of MIDPOINT Shorts will join the panel entitled promoLAB: promote your film abroad effectively. OIFF and Ukrainian Institute present.
Last but not least, feature film Entwined by Minos Nikolakakis, developed at MIDPOINT in 2013, will be screened/available to watch as a part of the Visions section of Odesa IFF.
