Among the 13 projects selected to be presented within the cocoPITCH was the Ukrainian feature film project VACUUM by the writer/director Yelizaveta Smith and producer Alexandra Kostina / Bosonfilm.

Within the Award Ceremony that took place on Friday, November 6, VACUUM was announced as a winner of the coco Best Pitch Award of €1.500. 

Alexandra Kostina as the producer of the winning project also got the “Producers Network Award”, free accreditation to the Producers Network at the Marché du Film in Cannes the following year.

The program coordinator of our Feature Launch and Shorts programs, Sona Morgenthalova, awarded on behalf of MIDPOINT Institute three attending projects the MIDPOINT Consulting Award, an opportunity to have two in-depth script consultation sessions with our renowned tutor and script consultant Gyula Gazdag (Sundance Director‘s Lab).

The awarded projects include the Croatian anti-family dramedy HONEY BUNNY by the director Igor Jelinović and producer Rea Rajčić (Eclectica), Bulgarian KIRIL‘S LUCK, directed by Milena Andonova, produced by Katya Trichkova & Rali Ralchev/ (Contrast Films) and last but not least, WATERDROP from Albania, feature film project created by the director Robert Budina and producer Sabina Kodra (Erafilm).
