Ion, a 17-year-old teenager, is punished because of his younger brother’s actions (Nicu) and is left with a slash mark on his cheek. The parents go away for the rest of the day and leave Nicu under the watch of his furious brother. Ion has to take along his younger brother to the woods, where he meets his girlfriend from the neighboring village. Later, two older boys invite Ion to a meeting with the rivaling gang from the neighboring village. On the hill between the two villages, the rivaling gang wants to find out who is secretly seeing one of their girls, but Ion is too afraid to confess. Nicu feels like this is the moment to redeem himself in front of his older brother, but he is taken away by the gang and is lost without sight. Torn between the care for his younger brother and the fury of his father, Ion decides to go into enemy territory and look for Nicu, meanwhile trying to manage his own anger.
