Reformatory
As a new headmaster at a reformatory for girls learns that their lives are ruled by repression, he decides to reform the house of systemic tyranny into a safe haven for troubled youth.
Lev takes a job as the director of a girls' reformatory to gain experience for his desired career advancement. But he soon learns that the institution is run by a repressive system, where girls are treated like prisoners and abused as cheap labor. Lev gradually introduces reforms - eliminating solitary confinement, improving living conditions and involving the girls in creative activities. His approach is met with resistance from the assistant director Agatha, who advocates strict discipline. The reforms bring unexpected challenges, from chaos in the institution to serious conflicts between the girls, which threaten both the institution and Lev's personal life. Despite tragic events - a suicide attempt, murder and abuse - Lev, with Agatha's help, restores balance. Girls start to bond and show remarkable growth. Lev temporarily hands over the leadership to Agatha, but the institution receives an unexpected change - the first boys join the girls.
