No Money No Honey
An undocumented Filipino worker joins a powerful Taiwanese family by manipulating a cerebral palsy patient's love, only to find himself caught in a self-defeating emotional game as he opens his heart.
In southern Taiwan, Filipino caregiver Ricardo (23) exploits his patient Yen (25), who has cerebral palsy, by assisting him with masturbation for extra income. Burdened by family debt and having sacrificed his education, Ricardo initially views Yen only as a source of money. However, moments of care draw Ricardo into Yen's life, helping with his studies and supporting his dreams. Ricardo develops an attraction to Yen but struggles to admit it due to fear and pride. Yen hopes to keep Ricardo by promising a better future, but Ricardo seeks a better job to escape the emotional turmoil. This shifts the power dynamics, leaving Ricardo trapped in the household. When a devastating accident occurs as Ricardo tries to leave, he is forced to confront his feelings and his inability to love.
