Omari is an up and coming writer-director from Birmingham, UK. He began his career in the animation industry working on children’s series in production management and screenwriting. He wrote and directed Results Day (10 mins), funded by BFI NETWORK, which is currently working the festival circuit and made the official selection for 6 film festivals and won Best Debut Film at The St Andrews Film Festival, ahead of an online release in August 2024. Omari has shadowed directors on Justin's House, Malory Towers, Doctors and We Go Again where he was promoted to Splinter Unit Director. As a writer, has developed series for Amazon, BBC Studios, Gaumont, Tall Story Productions, Emanata Studios, Silvergate Media and is writing the live action feature film ‘Claudia’ for Caribbean Tales / Greenacre Films. He is currently developing his debut feature, ‘Bound’, a supernatural thriller, via the BFI’s early development fund.
