Nur Muhammed Tarhan is a screenwriter and director. After completing his studies in literature, Nur Muhammed worked as a cultural reporter in Istanbul.
At the age of 25, his fascination with the medium of film finally led him to Germany to study film studies in Mainz. He realised his first shortfilm La Mante in 2018 during his studies, followed by numerous screenplays and short films.
Nur Muhammed is currently working on his filmproject September to September, in which he processes his previous experiences with the various ofers but also expectations and requirements of different cultural groups. This feature film script was awarded funding by HessenFilm GmbH in 2021.
Nur Muhammed Tarhan lives and works in Frankfurt am Main.
