In January next year MIDPOINT's special workshop program will take off with 4 teams of writers, directors, and producers who are in the process of developing their short fiction films.
Selected teams will be joined by a script consultant trainee, who will be along the workshop core tutor strengthen train in the art of script consulting.
The first workshop of the program will take place in a January in Trieste, Italy in collaboration with the When East Meets West co-production platform. This new and highly valued industry partnership of MIDPOINT and WEMW gives participants the unique chance to bring their projects to the same table with industry experts coming to the market.
The second workshop of the program will take place in May 2019 in Kaunas, Lithuania and is presented in cooperation with the Lithuanian Film Centre.
Moreover, the MIDPOINT Shorts program is organized in parallel with the first two modules of MIDPOINT´s program Feature Launch, enabling participants to network and take part in the open lecture of this program.
The group leader of four selected projects and one script consultant trainee is experienced Czech script consultant Pavel Marek.
