We are pleased to announce the selection of four projects for the MIDPOINT Intensive Queer program, aimed at promoting diversity in storytelling and providing support to filmmakers focusing on queer narratives.

MIDPOINT Intensive Queer: Project Selection Announcement
The chosen participants of MIDPOINT Intensive Queer consist of teams of writers, directors, and producers dedicated to developing feature film projects centered around queer themes.

Under the guidance of group leader Sullivan Le Postec, participants will dive into the development of their projects. They are scheduled to participate in two workshops, with the first workshop beginning in Brno, Czech Republic on March 4th and concluding on March 7th.
Following the initial workshop and after online consultations in between, the second session will be held in Prague, Czech Republic in June 2024. This will be immediately followed by the project showcase at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in July 2024.
Additionally, the projects selected for Intensive Queer 2024 are eligible to compete for the Eurimages Co-production Development Award, which offers €20,000 for one of the projects featured during the KVIFF Eastern Promises Industry Days.
MIDPOINT Intensive Queer runs partially with the MIDPOINT Feature Launch 2024 program, thereby enhancing networking opportunities and leveraging the presence of tutors and experts attending the events.
