MIDPOINT Feature Launch & MIDPOINT Focus Queer Kick Off in Prague This Week

Feature Launch: Supporting First and Second Features
Dedicated to first- and second-time feature film directors and their creative teams, MIDPOINT Feature Launch 2025 is an acclaimed training program designed to help filmmakers refine their stories and navigate the complexities of the film industry. Nine projects in development and three script consultants in training will participate in the yearlong program, which includes multiple workshops and a final showcase at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
The Prague workshop, running from March 3–9, marks the first step of the journey, focusing on script development, dramaturgy, and industry strategies. Participants will work closely with experienced tutors, developing their scripts while preparing to position their projects within the international market.
Focus Queer: Amplifying Queer Narratives
For filmmakers bringing LGBTQ+ stories to the screen, MIDPOINT Focus Queer 2025 offers a unique space for developing projects that reflect diverse queer experiences. Designed for writers, directors, and creative teams, this one-of-a-kind program in Europe supports film and series projects in early development, helping them find their voice and structure their narratives.
This year’s inaugural Prague workshop (March 3–9) will provide participants with tailored mentorship, script consultations, and discussions on queer storytelling, ensuring that their projects reach their fullest potential while staying authentic to the communities they represent.
