MIDPOINT is happy to collaborate with connecting cottbus again and nurture the fruitful collaboration, which is pursuing the same aim – to support the development of East European film projects.
We are very happy to see our graduates among the projects selected for cocoPITCH:
Croatian project Traces by director Dubravka Turic and producers Ira Cecic and Ankica Jurić Tilić (Kinorama), which was developed at MIDPOINT Feature Launch 2019.
The project Rattlesnakes by director Nikola Ljuca and producers Nikolina Vucetic Zecevic and Maja Ilic (Biberche) was also selected for the cocoPich. Rattlesnakes are Feature Launch 2019 graduate as well and received the coco MIDPOINT Award at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival as one of the main awards of the Feature Launch program.
While at connecting cottbus, MIDPOINT will also give away awards, the MIDPOINT CONSULTING AWARD. Three projects in development selected for cocoPITCH will receive an in-depth script consultancy with MIDPOINT experts. The consultancy will consist of two parts, starting in Cottbus during the cocoLAB which will be followed by a second session online.
Sona Morgenthalova, Feature Launch, and Shorts program coordinator, is traveling to Cottbus.
