LYD

Lyd is a TV-series about five teenage girls, that all wants to be seen by someone. DEB (16) feels lonely and has no friends in her new class in high school. She dreams of playing in a band, and tries to act cooler than she feels that she is, hoping that someone will notice her. SILJA (16) is in Deb’s class, but doesn’t really know who Deb is because Silja is almost never at school. She is planning to be a professional musician, and doesn’t really care about grades and high school diplomas and all that stuff. What she cares most about is maintaining her image as cool and mysterious. JO (16) and KAREN (16) are also in the same class, and they are best friends, but also very different. Jo is always crazy in love, and usually has her tongue down her boyfriend, GARD’s (16) throat. Karen is a bit more shy, and follows Jo wherever she goes. She listens to her problems and is her moral support and extra-mum. What nobody knows is that Karen actually is secretly in love with Jo. ELLA (16) is also in Deb’s class, but not for very much longer, she hopes. She wants to get into the best high school in Bergen, and is number one on the waiting list. Ella and her parents have decided that Ella is going to be a lawyer, and consequently she can’t have anything worse than the very best grades. The TV-series Lyd tells the story of how these five girls get together, and start a band. The band Lyd.
