In Good Faith
Hanna, a devout fifteen-year-old Catholic, must confront moral dilemmas when her sister's unexpected pregnancy sends her on a journey of self-discovery, forcing her to reconsider her views on faith and family.
In a small Polish town, Hanna (15) enjoys a close-knit family dynamic with her mother Monika (36) and her free-spirited sister Paula (17), alongside a strong bond with God and the local parish. However, their harmony is shattered when Paula discovers she is unexpectedly pregnant. Despite Hanna’s attempts to keep it a secret, the truth emerges, leaving Paula feeling trapped in her own home. Determined to assert control over her life, Paula refuses to conform to societal expectations and chooses to have an abortion, despite the risks.
Conflicted by her beliefs, Hanna eventually decides to support Paula. Cornered sisters try dodgy methods of abortion straight out of TikTok. Tragically, the procedure goes awry, resulting in devastating consequences for the family. The following media pressure and exhausting grief leads Hanna to resolve to break free from the shackles of expectations, and find her own way to God.
