Born in the West of Ireland, Ray attended the Dublin Institute of Technology where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Film and Television. After a misguided sojourn in the city’s banking sector, he was drawn back to his first love: Writing. His work has been optioned, funded and made by Screen Ireland, TG4, Channel 4, Virgin Media Television, Tua Films, Synchronicity Films and the Western Region Audiovisual Producer’s Fund (WRAP). In June 2020, he wrote four episodes of the TG4 streaming series Le Ceangal. A recent attendee of the Eave Producers Workshop, in February 2020 Ray completed the TorinoFilmLab with his six-part TV drama Chess.
