Marie-Gabrielle Peaucelle is a producer and script consultant based in Paris, France. After graduating from Sciences Po Paris in 2013, she started to work as an assistant producer at Manchester Films. During seven years she was the right-hand woman of Catherine Bozorgan and worked with one of France’s most recognized writer-directors, Albert Dupontel, who has won several César awards (including Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay) and whose last three films all did more than 2 million admissions in French cinemas. In 2020, she started her own production company in Paris, Les Films de Juillet, in association with the Greek producer Kyveli Short. They are currently in post-production of Konstantina Kotzamani’s last medium-length film, What Mary didn’t know, coproduced with Greece and Sweden, as well as in post-production of the debut short-film of Vasiliki Lazaridou, Hopepunk, coproduced with Greece. They are in development of several short and feature films, mostly from directors from France and Greece. In parallel, she works as a script consultant since 2019. Her credits include, amongst many other films, Women Do Cry by Milena Mileva and Vesela Kazakova (Cannes 2021 – Un Certain Regard), Animal by Sophia Exarchou (Locarno 2023 – Pardo for Best Performance), Arcadia by Yorgos Zois (in post-production). Since 2019 she is the script-editor of Konstantina Kotzamani’s first feature Titanic Ocean developed among others at TFL’s Feature Lab, currently in pre-production. In 2020, she was selected as a consultant trainee at Kids Kino Lab, a workshop dedicated to films for a young audience, where she assisted Philip LaZebnik (writer of Disney’s Pocahontas, Mulan, etc.). Since 2021, she is a reader for the CNC – Aide aux Cinémas du Monde. She is also the treasurer of Lecteurs Anonymes, a French association of script readers and consultants.
