Daniela Cölle received her BA, MA, and PhD in Film Theory and Critique from the Film and Television Faculty (Academy of Performing Arts) in Bratislava (SK). After her studies, she worked as a film curator and journalist, as a project manager for the European Cultural Society, managing e-learning programs on film, theatre, and dance, and worked on several independent film productions. Subsequently, she was the CEO of the distribution company Filmtopia (2012-2014). She is a co-organizer and artistic director of the Film Festival 4 Elements (Banská Štiavnica, SK) since 2010 and was its executive director until 2017. In 2016, she joined Pluto Film Distribution Network and in 2022 became the managing director and head of acquisitions. She is a regular jury member of different work-in-progress or pitching events and a consultant for professional training programs.
